Archbishop leads Praise by the Bridge - 10 year celebrations service

Praise by the Bridge enabled churches across the South West of York to come together and invite passers-by to join the open air praise event which is in its 10th year

The Archbishop rededicated a Millennium plaque at the bridge inscribed' Christians Together in York AD 2000'. He said: "Almighty God, we thank you for the York Millennium Bridge and the joy and usefulness it has brought to many people over the past decade. We pray that it will continue to be seen as a sign of your longing that we should all be one."
The Archbishop arrived at the bridge by barge.
