Archbishop of York Youth Trust Award Winners 2009 - Rachel Heesom and Serena O'Dea
Pupils from Sir Thomas Boteler School, Warrington, successfully campaigned to improve safety for elderly pedestrians as part of their Archbishop of York Discipleship Scheme. They are piloting the three-year initiative which involved learning about the Christian faith and doing practical service in the surrounding neighbourhood.

Journey to Priesthood
The Archbishop of York ordained twenty people to the Priesthood on Sunday 7th June at 10am in York Minster. Twelve men and eight women from across the Diocese of York were ordained Priest: among these people are butcher turned postman Ben Nicholson, former squadron leader Charles (Taff) Morgan, and radiographer Judy Cook.
